Phosphoric acid is used as a food additive to acidify various foods.
Description
Phosphoric acid, sometimes called orthophosphoric acid, is an acidifier, leavening agent, and nutrients source in the food industry.
It can be applied to meat, cheese, jam, jellies, and non-alcoholic beverages (coke, fizzy drinks, etc.). It gives a sour and tangy taste.
Various salts of phosphoric acids, such as monocalcium phosphate, are used as leavening agents in bread dough and cake flour.
It is also used as a nutrients source for yeast in wine brewery.

Other uses:
Phosphoric acid is also used in dentistry and orthodontics as an etching solution, to clean and roughen the surfaces of teeth.
It may also be used to remove rust by direct application to rusted iron, steel tools, or other surfaces.
