Description
Citric Acid Monohydrate is widely used as:
- an acidity regulator in processed fruit and vegetables to improve flavor; in baking powder to react with sodium carbonate to reduce alkaline taste, in juice, soft drink, and sauce to improve flavor.
- a basic beverage additive for a wide variety of products from drinking water to alcoholic drinks such as beer.
- an antioxidant: in the juice to maintain appearance and taste.
- a preservative in canned food to inhibit microbial development.
- a flavoring agent.
In addition, Citric Acid can be applied during the manufacturing of dairy products (milk, cheese) and meat products.
This is Citric Acid Monohydrate, but there is also Citric Acid Anhydrous.
