Polyoxyethylene Lauryl Ether
Polyoxyethylene lauryl ether is used in various cleaning and washing products.
Description
Polyoxyethylene lauryl ether is also known under the names of Laureth-7(L7) and Heptaethylene glycol monododecyl ether. This raw material is a powerful detergent and has an excellent function of washing, emulsifying, dispersing, wetting, and solubilizing.
The advantages of L7:
- strong foaming power, easy rinsing, and excellent decontamination.
- the lowest irritation to the skin among the surfactants group.
- can be compounded with various surfactants to reduce their irritation and improve product performance.
Being an emulsifier, softener, wetting agent, and a foaming agent at the same time, polyoxyethylene lauryl ether is one of the best raw materials for mild washing, shampoos (such as baby shampoo), bath liquid, facial cleanser, and cosmetics, which replaces AES. On an industrial scale, it is often used for the manufacturing of many home cleaning products from laundry detergents and spot removers to personal care ones (such as creams and lotions).
